Seven New Routes Launched within One Month by Nansha Port Area with International Class Efficiency

On March 25, the Southeast Asian route CVT was successfully linked to Nansha Port Container Terminal Phase III. The first ship was the "Delta" with a capacity of 1708 TEUs. CVT is linked and called to Nansha Port every Wednesday, covering ports in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. It can reach Ho Chi Minh within 3 days from Nansha, Sihanouk within 5 days and Laem Chabang within 8 days. This is the 7th international liner route opened in Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port this month.

The COVID-19 epidemic has brought great impact to the Chinese domestic coastal ports, but Nansha Port Area is benefiting greatly from its continuous optimization and improvement of local business climate. While strictly preventing and controlling the Epidemic, Guangzhou Port is actively involved in operation and production activities. Major port areas maintain efficient operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It has also introduced preferential commercial policies twice. The company announces the extension of free storage period for import and export of goods and provision of free storage service for empty containers, as the first port operator doing so in China.

At present, Guangzhou Port Nansha Port Area has achieved full coverage of ports in such Southeast Asian countries as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar, thereby effectively promoting in-depth cooperation between GHMGBA and ASEAN countries, in terms of capacity, connectivity and strategic partnership.
