On June 2, the 200,000-dwt container ship “AL ZUBARA” successfully berthed at the Nansha Phase III Terminal of Guangzhou Port, marking the official maiden voyage of THE Alliance “Nansha-Europe” FE2 route to Nansha Port. The three major alliances of global container liners gathered in the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port, which will provide customers with more choices of convenient maritime transportation channels.

This time, the THE Alliance has put into a total of 13 currently largest 18000-24000 TEU container ships. The route calls at Nansha Port every Tuesday, and the order of the calling ports is as follows: Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Nansha – Yantian – Singapore – Port of Tangier – South Ampton – Le Havre – Hamburg – Port of Rotterdam – Port of Tangier – Singapore – Hong Kong – Busan. This route not only allows customers to enjoy the most convenient direct services from Nansha to Southampton and Le Havre, but also provides transit services to Northwest Africa via the Port of Tangier, promoting the interconnection between customers in the Pearl River Delta and more African countries along the “Belt and Road”.

THE Alliance will join hands with Guangzhou Port to build the world’s most efficient and competitive international shipping hub with the lowest integrated logistics cost, so as to provide a faster and more convenient maritime transportation channel for import and export enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

It is learned that Nansha Phase III pays close attention to the foreign epidemic situation and strictly implements the requirements of epidemic prevention work to prevent the epidemic rebound due to imported cases. From January to May 2021, the total foreign trade container throughput of Nansha Phase III increased by 81% over the same period last year, and the production and operation maintained a good development trend.
