On August 3, 2021, the Group held the mid-year economic work meeting for the year of 2021, presided over by Huang Bo, the deputy secretary of Party Committee and the general manager of the Group. In the report of the first half year work of the Group, Huang Bo reviewed the achievements and problems from the first half year work.

The report pointed out that in the first half of the year, the Group made every effort to "prevent infecting from foreign countries and rebound in domestic of COVID19", and take measures in classification and centralized closed-loop management, and jointly built a solid defense line for the joint prevention and control. The Group received and discharged 3,284 foreign vessels, achieving "zero infecting from foreign countries" and "zero infecting case". The Group gave full play to the advantages of its comprehensive hub, organized resources effectively to expand its potential, and steadily improved the competitive cargo throughput such as coal and ore, commercial vehicles, etc.; the Group also took effective steps in receiving and discharging extra container vessels, carried out special operations to ensure the proper unloading of grain and port evacuation, thereby guaranteed the production and evacuation of the port; the port logistics network has been improved, with a net increase of 14 foreign trade routes, up to a total of 134; the Group has opened a China-Europe route, from Guangzhou Port, to Dzungarian Gate, and then Poland; the Group made great effort to develop river-sea intermodal transport, continuously promoted WGO and combined port model; accelerated the upgrading of port hub capacity; the completion rate of investment in key projects reached 66.9%: Nansha Phase IV, Jinyang Terminal and Xinsha Phase II have achieved trial berthing, and Nansha International Logistics Center North Project has put in trail operation for expanding regional port cooperation, extending the port footprint in 9 cities in Guangdong Province, including Yunfu, Jieyang and Shaoguan; in addition, the Group is continuously optimizing the business environment of the port, accelerating the facilitation of port clearance. It has established 10 "Bay Area One Port Pass" pilots, thereby further improving the service capacity.

Deng Guosheng, the general manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., deployed the key work of the joint-stock company in the next phase. He pointed out that we should focus on the annual production & operation target, seize the opportunity, further explore the market, and ensure the completion of the annual target with high quality.We should strengthen the management of key business, key people and key steps, enhance on-site monitoring and control, and create a safe and stable environment. We should accelerate the construction progress and start operation of Nansha Phase IV, Nansha International Logistics Center and other projects, further improve the layout of the port network, and build a more complete and efficient integrated port service network.

Li Yibo, the secretary of Party Committee and the chairman of Guangzhou Port Group, made a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the production and operation achievements of the Group this year, and that we have effectively responded the three challenges of the effective epidemic prevention and control, centralized arrival of ships and grain connection transportation mode, achieved the periodic achievements in port joint venture cooperation, key project construction and diversified business development; and we also achieved remarkable results in Party history learning and education, corporate brand promotion and cultural system construction.

Li Yibo stressed that in the second half of the year, the Group should focus on the annual production and operation tasks, strengthen awareness of unexpected development, enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency, make unremitting efforts to accelerate the upgrading of the comprehensive port hub, improve the comprehensive logistics system, enhance the comprehensive service functions; We should aim at the key blockage and difficult issues, strengthen the tackling of problems, eliminate the shortcomings, and continue to promote the construction of the world-class port at a high level, so as to make a new and greater contribution to the provincial regional development new pattern of “building a core, a belt, a region” and building an international integrated transport hub of Guangzhou, and to lay a solid foundation for the good start of achieving the "14th Five-Year".

First, the Group should strive to perform well the “double overall planning” of the normal epidemic prevention & control and production & operation, accelerate the formation of a modern comprehensive transportation hub system with a perfect layout and three-dimensional interconnection. We should upgrade to perform well the epidemic prevention and control, attach importance to safety production, strengthen daily safety management, ensure strict prevention of the infection from foreign epidemic case, make every effort to ensure the smooth circulation of port production resources, strengthen the synergy of existing resources, accumulate new driving force for developing and accelerating production capacity. We should accelerate the construction of a modern international logistics supply chain system, provide convenient and efficient multimodal transport services and enhance the port's influencing capacity; continue to optimize the port business environment and build a port environment that is efficient and convenient, compliance with regulatory norms and meets market demand.

Secondly, the Group should focus on concentrating on capacity building, enhance the driving force of high-quality development, and build a new pattern of international shipping hub construction. In addition, we should accelerate the promotion of Nansha Phase IV, Jinyang Terminal and other major projects to rapidly enhance the port's carrying capacity,enhance the leading role of the port, promote the optimization of the regional port function layout, thus to achieve higher quality synergistic development. We should persist in the technology and green development empowerment, accelerate the digital transformation of the port, and build a smart and green port at a high level.

Thirdly, the Group should persist in the system thinking, strengthen the overall deployment, and consolidate the "one core and diversified business" synergistic development pattern. IT will establish an accurate diversified business target positioning, create real estate, aquatic products, business travel brands with cultural characteristics; in addition, we should strengthen the connection of diversified business, make resource mutually integrated to promote development; accelerate the sale of real estate and quality improvement, and stabilize the basis for sustainable development; improve the construction of the whole industry chain of aquatic products, enhance the brand effect of Huangsha aquatic products; moreover. We should enrich the cultural connotation of business travel business, and innovate the business service mode.

Fourthly, the Group should keep pace with "first-class enterprises", by improving quality and efficiency, and enhance the level of high-quality development. We should take fine financial management steps to enhance corporate efficiency, to ensure the realization of annual targets; it will deepen reform to promote corporate development, and strive to build a world-class port; in addition, we should strengthen team building, develop a structure-reasonable, high quality and outstanding reserved talent team. We should also improve the efficiency of operation and security, streamline the paperwork and meetings, strengthen supervision and management, and create a collaborative online office platform.

Fifthly, the Group should strengthen the party building, create a good environment, and offer a good atmosphere for entrepreneurship.
