On September 28, Department of Transport of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou Port Authority, the Fifth Supervision Group of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Research Group of Nansha District Government went to Xinsha Port Area, Huangpu Port Area and Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port to inspect the COVID-19 prevention and control before the National Day. Li Yibo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guangzhou Port Group, Huang Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Group, Su Xingwang, Deputy General Manager of the Group, Yu Jianhao, Safety Director of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., Feng Hongde, General Manager Assistant of the Group and heads of related entities accompanied them.

Director Li Jing of the Department of Transport of Guangdong Province, Deputy Director Lu Yaxing and other leaders visited Xinsha Company and Xingang Company to check the concentrated residential area for the first-line personnel and on-site operations of grain vessels, listened to the work report of the person in charge of the site, conducted random inspections on the operation videos of Xinsha Company and Xingang Company respectively to know about the relevant situation of COVID-19 prevention and control, and focused on the arrangement of COVID-19 prevention and control.


In GCT, Director Sun Xiuqing of Guangzhou Port Authority led a team to the front of the terminal, video surveillance room, concentrated residential area for high-risk personnel and other places to inspect gates, stairway management, boarding operations management, “two points and one line” closed-loop management of high-risk personnel, management of concentrated residential area, COVID-19 prevention and control account records, etc., and carried out a spot check on the operation video of the vessel “KHARIS HERITAGE“ during its berthing on September 22.


In Huangpu Company, Yu Dianfang of the Fifth Supervision Group of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee led a team to inspect the concentrated residential area under closed-loop management. The Research Group learned in detail about the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures for high-risk port operations personnel, carefully checked the specific conditions of centralized residential environment, monitoring coverage, personnel management, garbage management, nucleic acid testing, vaccination, etc., and proposed work requirements on COVID-19 prevention and control training of first-line operators, logistical support, etc.


In Nansha Phase III Port Area, Pan Yuzhang, Deputy Director of the Nansha District Management Committee, and his entourage checked the operation of the berthed vessel “TS PUSAN” in real time in the video conference room, and conducted a spot check on the recent videos of boarding operations of foreign trade vessels. By viewing videos and making on-site inquiries, the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures was confirmed one by one. The Research Group affirmed the COVID-19 prevention and control efforts of Nansha Phase III Port Area in boarding operations, disinfection operations, crew management, personal protection, supervision and management, etc.


According to the Research Group, COVID-19 is still spreading over the world. During the critical period of COVID-19 prevention and control, protection shall be done seriously and carefully.
