On February 16, Li Muyuan, Executive Vice President of China Container Industry Association, and his delegation visited the Port Center. Huang Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Guangzhou Port Group, and Song Xiaoming, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Group, received the visiting guests. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the development of multimodal transport in China's large ports at the current stage to achieve high-quality and sustainable development.

Huang Bo extended a warm welcome to Li Muyuan and his delegation, and introduced the business development, port layout and future development direction of Guangzhou Port Group. He hoped that the Association will give full play to the advantages of industry think tanks, make suggestions for the development of multimodal transport business in Guangzhou Port, strengthen exchanges between the two sides, and jointly promote the multi-channel construction of Guangzhou Port under the strategic background of the new national dual-circulation development pattern, so as to help the industrial economic development in the hinterland.


Li Muyuan introduced the key work that the Association has done in promoting the planning and construction of logistics channels and helping port enterprises to develop multimodal transport in recent years. She believes that Guangzhou Port has a long history, with obvious location advantage, perfect port functions, rich in sources of goods and routes. The collection and distribution system of road, railway and sea is perfect, and it is an important hub port on the logistics channel connecting the Central South and Southwestern Areas to the world. It has unique advantages in developing multimodal transport. At the same time, she provided valuable guidance for Guangzhou Port Group in the construction of international logistics channel, the development of logistics network and the production organization of multimodal transport in the future.


During the visiting period, Song Xiaoming accompanied the visiting guests to investigate the container terminal and multimodal transport base in Nansha Port area.
