Recently, the "Asiatic King" Vessel successfully berthed at the Nansha Container Terminal Phase III of Guangzhou Port, marking the official maiden voyage of the ZIM Yangon-Klang Route YGS to the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port. The new route will further enrich the trade channels of enterprises in the Pearl River Delta between Malaysia and Myanmar, and provide more stable and convenient route choices for customers with shorter voyages and faster speeds.

The route is operated by ZIM, which deploys three 1,100 TEU-class ships exclusively for the route. It calls at Nansha every Saturday and departs on Sunday after loading, then passes through Klang and arrives in Yangon, providing the fastest direct service from Nansha to Klang and Yangon.

The Pearl River Delta region has always been an important production base for the domestic household appliance industry in China. And the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port, located in the geographic geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is the only deep-water container terminal on the west bank of the Pearl River. Considering the comprehensive advantages of the Nansha Port Area such as adjacency to the hinterland of cargo sources, high operational efficiency and excellent business environment, ZIM selects the Nansha Port Area as the only calling port of ZIM Yangon-Klang Route YGS in South China, so that the service network of Southeast Asia routes in the Nansha Port Area is further expanded.
