Recently, 160 Xiangtan-made Geely cars were transported to Huangpu Port Area of Guangzhou Port via Zhuzhou on the "Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-Sea Combined Transport" train, and then shipped to Port Klang, Malaysia by sea.

 

It is learned that the first Hunan-Guangdong-Africa export train for Hunan Geely cars was dispatched from Huangpu Port Area of Guangzhou Port to Zhuzhou via Jishou with empty containers. After being loaded at the Geely factory, the cars were transported to Huangpu Port Area of Guangzhou Port via the Zhuzhou Railway, and then shipped to the destination.

 

"Compared with the previous way that Xiangtan-made Geely cars were transported by road to the port and then shipped to the destination, it is more economical to use the 'Hunan-Guangdong-Africa' channel in terms of logistics path and transportation time." Peng Guangze, General Manager of Xiangyuefei International Logistics Co., Ltd., the operating company of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-sea Combined Transport Platform, said, "According to comprehensive calculations, the shipping of Geely cars through the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea combined transport channel can reduce logistics costs by 20% and save 3 to 5 days."

 

This time, the cooperation between Xiangyuefei International Logistics Co., Ltd. and Hunan Geely Automobile International Corporation will provide an economical, convenient and stable logistics channel for the export of Geely Binyue cars, parts and other products, greatly reduce the comprehensive logistics cost of Geely Automobile, and provide strong support for the enterprise to stabilize its foreign trade business, reduce costs and increase efficiency. After the route is launched, Geely Automobile plans to export 40,000 cars (units) to Malaysia within the year.

 

The relevant persons in charge of Xiangyuefei International Logistics Co., Ltd. said that after being gathered to Zhuzhou from the surrounding cities of Zhuzhou through the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea combined transport channel, the goods will be transported by rail-sea combined transport, realizing seamless connection to the sea routes of the port cluster of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to and from the rest of the world, which extends the channel service to Africa and radiates to Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Latin America and other regions, and provides convenient logistics channels for the import and export of Hunan and other central and western provinces.
