At the acceptance meeting, the on-site check and acceptance inspection team, consisting of Guangzhou Port Authority, Guangzhou Maritime Bureau, Nansha District Water Affairs Bureau, Nansha District Branch of Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, Guangzhou Port Construction Project Quality Supervision Station and other institutions as well as experts, successfully finished the acceptance of the project after conducting comprehensive and detailed review and discussion.

It is reported that Jinyang Terminal Project of Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port is a key construction project in Guangzhou and Guangdong Province. With a total investment of 1.85 billion RMB and a total area of 825,000 square meters, it will be constructed in two phases. After the project is put into operation, Nansha Automobile Port of Guangzhou Port will become a group of automobile ro-ro terminals with seven berths bearing 10,000 DWT ro-ro automobile, 1,800m shoreline and storage yards of more than 1,600,000 square meters. With an annual throughput of more than 2 million commodity automobiles, it will become the largest automobile logistics hub in China, forming an international automobile logistics industrial park integrating automobile ro-ro logistics, exhibition and comprehensive services. It is of great significance for the construction of the international shipping logistics hub as required by the country, coordination and promotion of the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and guarantee of the safety and stability of the automobile industry chain in Guangzhou and even China.

The completion of Jinyang Terminal is an important measure taken by Guangzhou Port Group to actively implement the Overall Plan of Guangzhou Nansha for Deepening Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Comprehensive Cooperation Facing the World. In recent years, Guangzhou Port Group has played an exemplary role as a port-based national logistics hub, actively seized the opportunity of Guangzhou international shipping hub construction and domestic automobile industry development, accelerated port capacity construction, strengthened the function of international shipping logistics hub, and made great efforts in port operation. In the first three quarters of this year, the commodity automobile handling volume of Guangzhou Port increased by 10.2% on a year-on-year basis, including 110.1% year-on-year growth in foreign trade exports.
