The very beginning of this year embraced a great success. In January, with great efforts,  Grain & General Cargo Terminal witnessed an increase of 5.2% and 13.2% in the total and foreign trade grain handling volume espectively compared with the same period of the previous year, which are the both the highest record of grain handling volume for a single month. The grain transportation system project launched successfully, bearing fruitful results at the start of the year with vitality and stability, and opening the new horizon of high-quality development with all efforts.
 
It is reported that Grain & General Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. has positively planned the business development of the new year and accurately scheduled, consolidating the foundation of production and operation in advance. To handle the situations of the transportation peak before the festival and the congestion of goods, the company focused on the trends of sailing date, made correct management plan of berth and yard, and reasonably planned the production capacity as a whole. All operation lines worked together and cooperated efficiently in order to provide favorable conditions for the security of large ships and the efficiency of goods handling, making sure that the port’s production works are in order, effectively assuring the stability and clearance of the chains of grain industry and supply. While focusing on the production, the company pushed construction projects forward as scheduled. On January 30th, several excavators worked together, the grain transportation project started and connected with the Fuling industrial park behind the terminal, which will establish an integrated grain reserve and transfer system that features “Port-Factory” and “Port Pivot + Integrated Industrial Park”, further improving the grain circulation capacity of Nansha port, injecting new impetus into the economic development of the port-related industries in the Hong Kong-Guangdong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
