Recently, with the smooth landing of the last sealed railway container in Hengyang, the “Nansha-Hengyang” pulp special line jointly run by Nansha Grain General Terminal of Guangzhou Port, China Railway Guangzhou Bureau and COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd. completed its task successfully, and the new mode of sea-rail intermodal transport for the pulp business of Liangtong Company was officially launched.

It is learned that this batch of pulp was shipped from the Santos Port in Brazil, and then transported to the Nansha Grain General Terminal by the pulp ship “COSCO Glory Sea” of COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd. Nansha Customs followed up on the logistics progress throughout the entire process to timely guide enterprises to carry out customs declaration based on the results of previous visits and research with enterprises, so as to meet the rapid customs clearance needs of enterprises.

According to the shipping schedule, Nansha Grain General Terminal coordinated sufficient warehouse space and arranged for personnel and machines in advance, handled transit documents in a timely manner according to the needs of the consignee, and provided efficient container loading services for “containerized transportation of bulk” for customers. China Railway Guangzhou Bureau provided sufficient railway containers and punctual railway transportation capacity for this batch of goods, effectively ensuring the smooth shipment of the first batch of pulp containers to factories in Hengyang.

In this mode, based on the pulp transfer and the “containerized transportation of bulk” business, and with the strong support of the efficient customs clearance service from the customs, Nansha Grain General Terminal, in conjunction with China Railway Guangzhou Bureau and COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd., fully utilizes the advantages of professional ship resources, efficient loading and unloading at the wharf, and stable and punctual railway service, optimizes various transportation links, opens up logistics links, provides high-quality “delivery to door” supply chain services to customers in the hinterland, and effectively saves transportation costs, aiming to build a first-class pulp distribution center in South China.
