Recently, two 45t-30m single-arm general-purpose fixed cranes arrived and were unloaded at Berth 25 and 27 of Beijiang International Port Co., Ltd. in Shaoguan. This is the second batch of cutting-edge equipment received by the port, following the landing of two gantry cranes at the port on October 23, 2023.
The two fixed cranes arriving at the port have a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tons, a maximum operating range of 30 meters, and a designed production capacity of 500 tons/hour. It can be combined with various lifting tools such as hooks, grab buckets, and container spreaders, so as to flexibly switch between container and bulk cargo operation modes.
To ensure the smooth entry of the cargo ship into the port, Shaoguan Beijiang has made a berthing plan in advance through active negotiations with the local maritime authorities, contractor, supervision unit, and other parties. It is reported that the overall installation of the two fixed cranes are scheduled to be completed on the 20th day of this month.
At present, the Phase I of Baitu Operating Area of Shaoguan Port is under intensive construction, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation by in the mid of 2024. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will further optimize the logistics path in northern Guangdong, reduce logistics costs, attract industrial clusters, promote the integration of Shaoguan into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the “Nansha Plan” and other national strategies, and boost high-quality development of regional economy.
