Recently, the KTX2-S Thai route successfully made its maiden voyage to the Phase II Terminal of Nansha Port Area, which marks the addition of another Japan-Thailand direct express route operated by OOCL in Nansha Port, thus providing customers with more flexible, diverse, convenient and efficient logistics solutions.
The route launched this time departs from Osaka, then passes through multiple ports such as Nansha Port, and finally arrives at Laem Charbang Port. The customers’ goods can be exported from Nansha to Laem Charbang in just 4 days. Operated solely by OOCL, the route has a stable shipping schedule and high timeliness. It is one of OOCL’s KTX products, with a total of four 2,500-TEU ships. Its shipping space is shared with COSCO Shipping, which has fixed shipping space in Nansha.
It is learned that after the launch of this route, it can drive the import of durian from Thailand to Nansha during the “durian season”, allowing consumers to taste the freshest durian as soon as possible. The import of Toyota auto parts from Japan to Nansha can also enjoy the convenience brought by the launch of the route, providing high-quality and convenient logistics supporting services for the Nansha Factory of Toyota, and promoting the rapid development of the related industry chains. To this end, Nansha Port Area has made preparations for route layout in advance, providing customers with high-quality and convenient sea transportation supporting services and a good business environment.
As of now, Nansha Phase II has added a total of 4 new foreign trade routes this year, including 2 new Japan-Thailand direct express routes in April. (Lu Yiyong)
