On November 26, the Guangzhou Port Tugboat Command Center was inaugurated. The Center integrates electronic processes for tugboat scheduling, on-site operation monitoring, online customer service, crew attendance management and billing, providing a more convenient, safer, more intelligent and more controllable platform. It enables precise dispatching and efficient command of tugboat operations, significantly enhancing port tugboat operation efficiency. This marks a new milestone in the development of Guangzhou Port as a smart port, further elevating the quality of its tugboat services and management effectiveness.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Ma Jinqi, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., along with representatives from the Business Department of the Company.

It is reported that the Guangzhou Port Tugboat Command Center has been upgraded and transformed from the original tugboat dispatch room. In line with the development of a smart port, it has integrated and upgraded its original tugboat scheduling system and business management platform, significantly improving tugboat operational efficiency. The new system enables full-process monitoring of tugboat operations and facilitates information sharing and connectivity among vessels, terminals, pilots and central control, thereby enhancing the Greater Bay Area's navigation support and market competitiveness.

In recent years, it has adhered to an innovation-driven approach, accelerating the development of tugboat capabilities and the construction of green and smart tugboats. It has established a competitive and influential tugboat fleet, successfully participating in such national key projects as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link. Currently, the first pure electric tugboat in South China is under construction, with four tugboats expected to be operational by 2025.

It manages a fleet of 34 vessels, including 28 full-turning tugboats. The fleet is supported by the highly skilled “Golden Tug” team, capable of performing various complex offshore towing operations. This team is well-equipped to handle diverse and challenging operational environments, with its service area covering the Pearl River Delta, Eastern Guangdong, and Western Guangdong coastal waters. For three consecutive years, Guangzhou Port Tugboats have been awarded the "National Maritime Search and Rescue Award" and have become a key force in ensuring the safety of vessel imports, exports, and berthing in the Greater Bay Area.

In the future, it will take the development of smart tugboats as a new engine for growth, so as to build a smarter, greener, more efficient and safer tugboat service platform for the Greater Bay Area, providing safe and efficient tugboat support for the Group's port operations and contributing to the continued strengthening of Guangzhou Port as the largest comprehensive hub port in South China.
