Huang Bo warmly welcomed the visit of Chen Zhiqing and his delegation, and thanked the Shaoguan Municipal Government for its long-term strong support for the Shaoguan Port cooperation project. He stated that Guangzhou Port Group is fully endeavoring to promote the strategic layout of “hub + corridor + network”, enhancing the level of supply chain services by optimizing resource allocation of key logistics nodes, and accelerating the construction of Guangzhou International Shipping Hub. As a landmark project for deepening cooperation between Guangzhou and Shaoguan, the Beijiang Port in Shaoguan is still in a critical stage of market cultivation and operational improvement. Guangzhou Port Group will continue to play a radiating and driving role as a hub port, strengthen the coordinated development of “port, industry and shipping”, and hope that the Shaoguan Municipal Government will provide more assistance in industry introduction, cultivation of business formats and other aspects to operate and develop Beijiang Port well, thus providing strong support for Shaoguan’s industrial upgrading and high-quality regional economic development.

 

Chen Zhiqing introduced the industrial layout of Shaoguan and the progress of the implementation of the 14th Five-year Plan. He emphasized that at the critical juncture of the formulation of the 15th Five-year Plan, Shaoguan is actively aligning with the national industrial strategic layout, seizing opportunities for the development of the “dual circulation”. With more efforts in investment promotion and the increasingly prominent location and transportation advantages, the level of industrial development in Shaoguan is improving. Guangzhou Port is an important hub port in South China, and it is hoped that Guangzhou Port Group will leverage the existing cooperation achievements of both sides, fully utilize the resource advantages of the port hub, and continue to deepen cooperation in the construction and operation of Shaoguan Port infrastructure. It is also hoped that both sides will jointly promote the integration and coordinated development of industries in Guangzhou and Shaoguan, with the ports promoting logistics, economy and trade, and industry.
