Recently, a dedicated direct Ro-Ro route from Nansha Auto Terminal of Guangzhou Port to the Port of Fujairah in the UAE was officially launched. Nearly 2,000 domestically produced finished vehicles set sail from the Near-Ocean Terminal, further widening the vehicle-export corridor between the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and the Middle East.

 

The new direct route effectively eases the logistics bottleneck facing Chinese firms exporting to the Middle East in the wake of the Strait of Hormuz blockade, relieving problems such as highly variable transshipment cycles and unpredictable delivery times for exports of vehicles and heavy equipment. The dedicated service cuts overall transit time by three to five days and significantly lowers the risk of cargo damage, helping exporters speed up overseas delivery and capitalize on the market window in the Middle East market.

 

As South China's largest Ro-Ro logistics hub, Guangzhou Port enjoys naturally short sea distances and high vessel turnaround on its westbound and southbound routes, and continues to offer hinterland exporters greater guaranteed slot capacity and support. The new route's successful maiden voyage was backed by coordinated support and efficient facilitation from border and port agencies including Customs, Immigration Inspection, the Maritime Safety Administration, and port operators. These agencies streamlined clearance to achieve "zero-wait" inspection and release, providing robust support for the smooth export of Chinese-made vehicles and engineering equipment.
