Huang Bo Leads a Delegation to Zhuzhou for Inspection and Research, Jointly Drawing a New Blueprint for the Efficient Hunan-Guangdong Logistics Corridor

Recently, Huang Bo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guangzhou Port Group, led a delegation to visit the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. They held in-depth and substantive discussions with Wang Jianqiu, Secretary of the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and He Enguang, Deputy Secretary of the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor, on topics including the progress milestone of the Zhuzhou Inland Port Phase II Project, innovation in the inland port's business models, and the capacity upgrading of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Corridor. The two sides reached extensive consensus on further deepening strategic cooperation.

At the symposium, Wang Jianqiu spoke highly of the remarkable achievements Guangzhou Port has made since launching and operating the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Corridor and the Zhuzhou Inland Port. He noted that Guangzhou Port has given full play to the advantages of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa sea-rail intermodal transport corridor, strongly supported Zhuzhou in accelerating the development of a modern logistics industry system, continuously attracted high‑end manufacturing, trade and other industries to cluster, reduced comprehensive logistics costs for manufacturing and trading enterprises in the region, and played a positive role in the high-quality economic development of Zhuzhou. He pointed out that cooperation between the two sides has been steady and robust, with broad development prospects and huge potential. He expressed the hope that the two sides will continue to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in areas such as the integration of industrial planning and logistics ecosystem, the development of a multimodal transport system, the solicitation and development of key projects, the joint training of professional logistics talent, and further expansion of coverage and service capacities of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa sea‑rail intermodal transport corridor — jointly facilitating Zhuzhou's logistics industry advance to a higher level.

Huang Bo thanked the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their care and long-standing support of Guangzhou Port Group's high-quality development, and introduced the Group's infrastructure development, operational achievements, and future development plans in recent years. He stated that Zhuzhou has prominent geographical advantages and a solid industrial base, and that the two sides have achieved a series of remarkable results in areas such as building an efficient logistics corridor and enhancing the service capacity of logistics hubs. In recent years, Guangzhou Port Group has been accelerating the implementation of its "Hub + Corridor + Network" strategy, continuously strengthening its layout of inland ports, and forging new end‑to‑end logistics routes. The two sides' development directions are highly aligned; building on their existing sound cooperation, he hoped the two sides would further coordinate and integrate the resources of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa sea-rail intermodal transport corridor, strengthen the Zhuzhou Inland Port's capacity to drive and radiate growth across the region, work to build the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Corridor into a national benchmark corridor for sea‑rail intermodal transport, and develop the Zhuzhou Inland Port into a regional logistics hub serving central China. Going forward, Guangzhou Port Group will continue to strengthen efficient linkage between its inland ports and seaports, help Zhuzhou better connect with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and contribute port‑based strength as a port operator to facilitating the domestic and international dual circulation.

During the visit, Wang Jianqiu, together with Huang Bo and the delegation, conducted field visits of BAIC's Zhuzhou Plant and the Zhuzhou Inland Port, learning in detail about the progress of the Inland Port's infrastructure construction and the normalized operation of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Corridor. Zhuzhou municipal leaders Liu Yaliang and Li Guilong; Xia Chunliang, Chairman of Zhuzhou Urban Development Group; Zheng Lingtang, General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd.; Chen Hongyu, Chief Economist of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd.; and heads of relevant functional departments and units from both sides took part in the above activities.(Text | Hu Jiangtao, Liu Wenfeng, Huang Lu  Photo | Hu Jiangtao)
