Four Ultra-large Liners Gather in Nansha Phase II for the First Time! (Picture)

On August 9, the Nansha Phase II Container Terminal embraced four approximately 400 meter long “jumbo ships” - "MSC MICHELLE", "COSCO Shipping Denali", "CMA CGM Everglade", and "CMA CGM Mexico" operating simultaneously at the port. Various ships one after another have become a daily scene in Nansha Port Area. The port’s powerful hardware facilities, safe and efficient operations, and complete logistics network provide a solid guarantee for the normalized berthing of world's super large liners.

Before the berthing of super large liners, Nansha Phase II fully considered berth arrangements, container ship stowage, yard planning, on-site personnel and mechanical configuration, and made a thorough plan for the shipping schedule. Nansha Phase II attaches great importance to work safety and efficiency, and the company works together to continuously optimize operational processes and improve work efficiency, ensuring the smooth progress of loading and unloading operations.

As the core port area of Guangzhou Port and the growth pole of shipping logistics in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Nansha Port Area has achieved leapfrog progress in comprehensive capacity and port technology. Last year, it completed a container throughput of over 18 million TEUs. (Text by Wu Jiaming and Deng Yanzhang, Picture by Chen Jiahao and Lin Dongsheng)
