The conference put forward specific requirements for the digital transformation work:

 

The first is to enhance positioning awareness and deepen understanding of the strategic requirements of digital transformation. Digital transformation is the essential path for Guangzhou Port to achieve its goal of becoming a "world-class port". All units shall closely align with the Group's “hub + corridor + network" business strategy, earnestly implement the requirements of the digital development conference, adhere to the principle of five unifications, and use key projects as carriers to ensure the transformation yields tangible results. Chief data officers shall assume the role of business integrators, driving the extension of informatization from “building systems” and “using systems” to “promoting business” and “strengthening management”. They shall transform data elements into core competitiveness and proactively play a central role in the digital transformation.

 

The second is to adhere to planning guidance and comprehensively enhance the overall efficiency of informatization construction. The “15th Five-Year Plan” period is a strategic opportunity for upgrading informatization. All units shall align with the Group’s business development strategy, strengthen top-level design, enhance cross-departmental collaboration, and consciously integrate their informatization work into the overall planning of the Group. It is essential to firmly establish a “unified strategy” mindset to ensure a consistent development direction. Emphasis shall be placed on intensive sharing of infrastructure to avoid fragmented development and resource waste. Additionally, it is crucial to build a truly capable informatization technology team with core technical development skills to drive project implementation.

 

The third is to strengthen the sense of responsibility and ensure that all tasks are implemented effectively. We shall further enhance professional capabilities by learning new technologies and industry practices, aiming to develop into versatile talents proficient in both technology and business operations, and cultivate specialized management expertise within the digital team. We shall improve communication and coordination, proactively collaborating with business departments and leveraging the mechanisms of the digital transformation leadership group, working group, and integrated business-IT team to jointly advance IT development. We shall foster innovative practices by soliciting broad input from all stakeholders during planning, plan systematic key projects, and strengthen the coordination of innovation projects. We shall further promote the implementation of work, fulfill the “dual responsibilities” of party building and business operations, and reinforce compliance awareness and bottom-line thinking. We shall endeavor to ensure success in everything we do, and reshape the work style of the IT team by improving both quality and efficiency.

 

The group will resolutely implement the requirements of digital transformation, and make every effort to promote the high standard and high-quality implementation of various tasks for digital transformation at a higher position and with more practical measures and stronger responsibilities, continuously injecting new momentum and creating new advantages to accelerate the construction of Guangzhou Port into a world-class port.
