Recently, Song Xiaoming, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Group, led a team to Greece, Italy, and France to carry out marketing and presentation activities, further implementing the Overall Plan of Nansha of Guangzhou for Deepening Globally-oriented Comprehensive Cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, strengthening marketing efforts in the European shipping market, promoting further cooperation between Guangzhou Port and ports, liner companies, and port and shipping logistics industry associations in Europe and the Mediterranean region, and building a high-level gateway for opening up to the outside world.

On the morning of February 28 local time, the overseas marketing delegation of Guangzhou Port Group held a business seminar at the headquarters building of ASSAGENTI. Deputy General Manager Song Xiaoming and nearly 30 guests from the Genoa Port Authority, ASSAGENTI, Spediporto, COSCO Shipping (Italy) Co., Ltd., CMA CGM Shipping Italy, Sinergy Cargo, Finsea, etc. attended the seminar.

At the meeting, Johannes Nanninga, the representative of Guangzhou Port's European Office, introduced the business development trends of Guangzhou Port and Nansha Port Area to the attending guests. The attending guests had in-depth exchanges on topics such as the impact of the Red Sea situation on the Mediterranean shipping market, the development trends of sea-rail intermodal transportation in Europe and the Mediterranean region, and the opportunities for business cooperation between Guangzhou Port and Port of Genoa.

The day before the meeting, accompanied by the Guangzhou Port Authority and Guangzhou Port Group, Sun Zhiyang, Mayor of Guangzhou, visited the Genoa Port Authority and exchanged ideas on deepening the friendly port partnership between Guangzhou Port and Port of Genoa. On the same day, the overseas marketing delegation of Guangzhou Port Group visited the Genoa PSA Pra' terminal and the Vado Gateway terminal, exchanging views with local port operators on the future development trends and business cooperation opportunities in the European and Mediterranean shipping markets.
