Three Terminals at Guangzhou Port’s Nansha Automobile Port Pass On-Site Assessment for Four-Star “China Green Port” Rating

The three terminal operators of Guangzhou Port’s Nansha Automobile Port — Guangzhou Port Nansha Automobile Terminal Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Port Haijia Automobile Terminal Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Near-sea Port Operation Co., Ltd. — recently passed the on-site assessment for the four-star “China Green Port” rating. This achievement marks a new milestone for Nansha Automobile Port in its green, low-carbon transformation and in the smart, efficient operation of the port.

Guangzhou Port’s Nansha Automobile Port is jointly formed by three terminal operators: Guangzhou Port Nansha Automobile Terminal Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Port Haijia Automobile Terminal Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Near-sea Port Operation Co., Ltd. Located at the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it is home to China’s largest roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) automobile terminal cluster and the country’s largest domestic ro-ro automobile hub. It also ranks as the second-largest parallel-import automobile port in China, with seven 10,000-DWT berths, nearly 1.6 million square meters of vehicle storage yard, and an annual throughput capacity of more than three million vehicles.

In recent years, Nansha Automobile Port has thoroughly implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, working in close alignment with China’s national “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” strategic goals and Guangzhou Port Group’s green development plans. Through coordinated efforts across multiple dimensions — including optimizing its energy mix, upgrading smart management systems, and advancing resource recycling — the port has taken solid, concrete measures to strengthen its foundation as a green port.(Picture & Text | Nansha Automobile Port)
