Successful Switching-on for Power Transmission! Nansha Phase IV Automated Handling System Enters the Commissioning Phase

On April 1, the permanent power supply expansion supporting project of the Nansha Phase IV Project passed the inspection and acceptance of Nansha District Power Supply Bureau, and the switching-on for power transmission is successful for the first 2 automated STS cranes and 4 automated rail-mounted container gantry cranes that have arrived at the port. Permanent power supply is the basic condition for the operation of automated equipment in the port area. The successful switching-on for power transmission marks the official entry of the Phase IV Project into the commissioning phase of the automated handling system.

It is learned that the fully automated equipment of the Nansha Phase IV Project is powered by electricity, which can achieve zero emissions. The total permanent power supply capacity of the Nansha Phase IV Project is 92,390 kVA. The power distribution capacity this time is 11,300 kVA, which mainly meets the electricity demand for the commissioning of shore-based intelligent guided vehicles (IGV), automated single-trolley STS cranes, automated rail-mounted container gantry cranes and other equipment. On the day of power transmission, it was very hot, but the leading team composed of Party members led the field operators to frequently shuttle back and forth between the substation and the automated equipment and carefully checked and confirmed all work preparations before power transmission. Through the concerted efforts of all parties, the permanent power supply project of the Nansha Phase IV Project was successfully put into operation.

As the first automated terminal in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with Guangzhou characteristics, the Nansha Phase IV Project has received great attention and strong support from government departments. With the close cooperation and joint efforts of all construction participating units, we carried out interaction and joint building for the Party building work to promote the construction of the project, optimized construction organization and design, strengthened site management, increased resource input, and took multiple measures to overcome various difficulties such as COVID-19 epidemic outbreak and complicated geological conditions. The public switch station, dedicated switch station, No. 3 integrated pipe gallery, No. 2 substation, supporting power pipe gallery for the expansion and other construction projects have been completed successively.
