Recently, facing the dual pressure of prevention and control of overseas epidemic and the outbreak of local epidemic, the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port has insisted on “laying equal emphasis on” epidemic prevention and production to promote safe and smooth logistics in the Greater Bay Area. From May 31 to June 6, the foreign trade container throughput of Nansha Phase III and Nansha Phase I & II increased by 86.3% and 6.71% respectively compared to last week, which means high-intensity operation and effectively ensures the import and export demand of the Greater Bay Area.

Strictly control the key links on the front line and ensure the health and safety of the boarding operators

Strictly implement the requirements of “one plan for one ship” and the prevention and control measures for foreign trade ships. The boarding operators are required to use a special gondola to get on and off the working surface of the ship, and each boarding operator is provided with a kit of prevention and control supplies, which contains disinfectant, masks, goggles and other emergency protection supplies; “risk level” warning sign is set up in the gangway area of the ship; an epidemic prevention booth is set up at the boarding stairway of the terminal to meet the epidemic prevention needs of boarding personnel, such as disinfection at the time of embarkation and disembarkation, clothes changing and hand washing; and disinfection work is implemented for key parts such as stairways, gangways and their handrails, cables, and surrounding passages in the work area.

Actively respond to customer needs and improve the passing efficiency of trucks in Nansha Port Area

First, in accordance with the latest epidemic prevention requirements, the presentation of the proof of negative nucleic acid test result within 72 hours has been cancelled, and the closed-loop management of “no landing, no contact” is adopted for the truck drivers throughout the whole process. The trucks can pass the gate if the drivers hold a “green” health code and pass the body temperature test, which further improves the efficiency of the gate control. Second, online precise appointment for the trucks to pass the gate is implemented, and coordination has been made with the traffic police to rationally divert road traffic and optimize the driving routes in the port area. Third, party member volunteers are organized to show humanistic care to the truck drivers by sending drinking water to the drivers waiting to pass the gate, and solving the drivers’ doubts and questions in time.
