Recently, the “Hui Jin Qiao 292” ship successfully arrived at the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port from Shantou Port, marking the official opening of the “Nansha Port - Shantou Port” direct branch line. Through collaboration between Guangzhou Port “Shuttle Bus” and Guangzhou Yingya Logistics Co., Ltd., the original Nansha - Shantou transit branch line has been optimized into the point-to-point direct service, and the density of the branch line has been upgraded to two voyages per week, providing customers with a faster and lower-cost logistics solution.

As one of the 27 major coastal ports in China, Shantou Port is one of the 15 key ports under "the Belt and Road Initiative" of China and an important transportation hub in eastern Guangdong, southern Jiangxi and southwestern Fujian. Guangzhou Port is the largest comprehensive main hub port in South China. Nansha Port Area, as the core port area of Guangzhou Port, is located at the estuary of the Pearl River and the geographical center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with obvious advantages in location and logistics costs. At present, Nansha has developed into a core hub port for African routes, and is also a rapidly rising hub port for RCEP routes. In addition, Nansha Port Area can realize the operation of domestic and foreign trade routes in the same port, and is an important hub linking domestic and international double cycles. The opening of the Nansha Port - Shantou Port direct branch line will help deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two ports, effectively connect different regions, smooth cargo flow, and promote the integrated development of the eastern Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
