Huang Bo introduced the business development, port layout, and development plan of Guangzhou Port Group. Closely focusing on the strategic deployment of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangzhou’s development positioning in the urban agglomeration of the Bay Area, Guangzhou Port fully cooperates with the construction of the Greater Bay Area and promotes the coordinated development of the area and the port. The waters of Guangzhou Port involve multiple cities in the Greater Bay Area, including Zhuhai, which have a good foundation for cooperating jointly and serving the Greater Bay Area. Both sides hope to continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the port and shipping field, leverage the complementary advantages of different ports, strengthen marine economic cooperation on a larger scale and at a deeper level, accelerate the gathering of shipping resources, jointly promote the integrated development in such fields as marine technology, shipping logistics, and maritime services, and advance the high-quality development of the port cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

 

Qin Chun stated that Zhuhai attaches great importance to the development of the marine economy industry, focuses on promoting the utilization and development of marine resources, marine technology innovation, and marine open cooperation. The Wanshan Islands have unique geographical advantages, and both sides hope to deepen exchanges, contact closely, achieve win-win cooperation, jointly accelerate the cultivation and development of new forms of anchorage economy, and explore shipping development policies, collaborative innovation of comprehensive bonded zone and port, and development of multimodal transportation together, so as to better promote high-quality development of regional economy.
