Before the Spring Festival, leaders of Guangzhou Port Group and Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd. went to the front line of major port areas and diversified business sectors to supervise and inspect port production, safety and environmental protection work, ensuring a stable production safety situation at the beginning of the year.

 

Huang Bo, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and General Manager of the Group, led a team to supervise and inspect pre-festival production safety at key units such as Xingang Company and Logistics Railway Company.

 

The inspection team inspected the sewage treatment system of Xiji Terminal, the front line and silos of Xingang Terminal, and conducted a detailed investigation of the operation status and process of the sewage treatment system. Huang Bo emphasized that we need to attach great importance to the green and environmental protection work of terminal operations, strengthen measures such as dust prevention and sealing, actively advance to the direction towards fully enclosed yards, and maintain the normal cleanliness of terminals; and it is also necessary to strengthen the safety management of silo operations, implement various safety measures, ensure the safe and orderly production of terminals, accelerate the construction of new silos and ensure seamless connection between old and new silos.

Yang Xianwu, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Group, and Ma Jinqi, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., led a team to Xiaohu Terminal to conduct pre-festival safety inspections. The inspection team went to the front line of Berth 2# at Xiaohu Terminal to conduct spot checks on on-site equipment and facilities, operating environment, and safety management implementation, emphasizing that we should further strengthen the red line awareness and bottom line thinking for production safety, comprehensively consolidate production safety responsibilities, strengthen the investigation and rectification of hidden safety hazards, implement various safety measures with a sense of responsibility and urgency of "never being careless", and provide strong and effective safety guarantees for the company; and we should do a good job in personal safety and work attendance at the terminals and ensure smooth and orderly production safety work in the port area during the Spring Festival period.

 

Su Xingwang, Deputy General Manager of the Group, led a team to the Huangsha Aquatic Products Market for pre-festival safety inspection. The inspection team inspected power and gas usage of the stores, as well as the smoothness of the passages. It is emphasized that as a professional market for the “vegetable basket” program in Guangzhou, Huangsha Aquatic Products Market should adhere to the red line and guarantee the bottom line, conscientiously cooperate with the traffic control work for the Spring Festival fireworks display, strengthen work attendance during the Spring Festival period, enhance on-site inspection and patrol, conscientiously carry out safety work for market transfer and relocation, as well as safety and fire control work during the renovation of Huangsha Aquatic Products Center, and ensure a safe and peaceful Spring Festival holiday.

 

General Manager Zheng Lingtang and Deputy General Manager Sun Bangcheng of Guangdong Port Co., Ltd. led a team to Nansha Port Area for pre-festival safety inspection. The inspection team went to the terminals of various units in Nansha Port Area for on-site production inspection, and gained a detailed understanding of the recent business situation and pre-festival work deployment. It is emphasized that port production safety is closely related to the overall stability of economic and social development; we shall strengthen the bottom line and red line for production safety, focus on key areas of production, comprehensively investigate and solve problems, resolutely prevent and contain production safety accidents, and do a good job in ensuring smooth flow; and we need to continuously strengthen the safety management for on-site production operations, strictly abide by process regulations and operating procedures, avoid cross-operation risks, and ensure the safety and stability of the ports.

 

Ma Chujiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Port Co., Ltd., led a team to Jieyang Port for pre-festival safety inspection. The inspection team inspected construction sites such as the caisson prefabrication yard, semi-submersible barges, concrete mixing plant, steel processing shed, steel trestle for over-water construction and beam-and-slab component prefabrication yard. The inspection team inquired about the prefabrication and transportation process of caissons in detail during the inspection process, and gained a deep understanding of the construction progress of the project. It is emphasized that we need to further strengthen the safety defense line, enhance safety awareness, comprehensively investigate and solve hidden safety hazards at construction sites, provide safety enclosures and warnings, and strengthen inspection and on-site supervision at all stages of construction to ensure construction safety and prevent accidents during the Spring Festival period.

 

Lin Weiqi, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., led a team to the tugboat company for pre-festival safety inspection. The inspection team inspected the public areas and engine room on board, gained a detailed understanding of the recent production safety situation of tugboats and the work attendance arrangement during the holiday, and had cordial conversations with the on-duty crew. It is emphasized that we need to strengthen risk prevention, enhance emergency response capabilities, and improve risk avoidance and escape, self rescue and mutual assistance capabilities; and we also need to strengthen work attendance and inspection efforts to ensure the safety, orderliness, and stability of production and operation during the Spring Festival period.

 

Li Mingzhong, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., led a team to Nansha Port Station for pre-festival safety inspection. The inspection team conducted an on-site survey of the storage of goods in the warehouse of Nansha Port Station, and gained a detailed understanding of the production safety and operation situation as well as business development trends of Nansha Port Station and Nansha Port South Station. It is emphasized that we need to actively carry out self-inspection and rectification of hidden safety hazards, promptly eliminate hidden safety hazards, and consolidate the foundation of safety production work; and we also need to implement the work attendance system during the Spring Festival holiday, thus ensuring comprehensive and seamless production safety and further guaranteeing smooth logistics during the holiday period.

 

The inspection teams also went to key production areas such as the Petrochemical Terminal and Shenwan Port of Zhongshan Port & Shipping for spot check and pre-festival work deployment.

 

In the meantime, leaders of the Group and Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., including Chen Jiannian, Wu Taiyun, Wei Tongjun, Zhu Shaobing, Feng Hongde and Wen Yonghong, went to the Port & Shipping Center, Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port, and various ports inside and outside the city to comfort frontline staff and extend New Year greetings and holiday wishes to them, encouraging them to continue working hard and achieve new progress and development in the new year.
