First Batch of Road-to-Rail Steel Coils Shipped from Nansha Port

Recently, a freight train loaded with steel coils slowly stopped at Nansha Port Station, marking the facility’s first handling of such cargo since its opening. It is reported that this batch of steel coils transported in 18 rail cars to Nansha Port is produced in Hunan, with a total weight of over 1,000 tons. After being unloaded at Nansha Port Station, it will be loaded onto the ship for export to Southeast Asia.

This service was launched by the Logistics Company in collaboration with Guangzhou Railway Group and Nansha Grain General Terminal. Based on its established presence in the Hunan market, where it has guided inland clients to shift from road to rail and use Nansha Port for export, the Logistics Company leverages the advantages of Nansha Port Station to provide integrated intermodal logistics services, successfully linking the entire process from rail-based port consolidation to ship loading.

It is reported that more batches of steel coils will arrive at Nansha Port Station in the future. Guangzhou Port Logistics will adhere to the customer-centric approach, further optimize operational processes, enhance upstream and downstream resource integration capabilities, create efficient and low-cost end-to-end logistics solutions, improve comprehensive logistics service quality, promote the optimization of the “Road-to-Rail” transport structure, and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy.(Picture and text by Sun Hongjie and Lin Miaopeng
