Recently, the 20th China Economic Forum was held in Nansha, Guangzhou. With the theme “Chinese Modernization and China’s Economic Outlook for the 15th Five-Year Plan,” the forum brought together leading figures from the economic sector to examine new opportunities for China’s economic development. Huang Bo, Party Secretary and Chairman of Guangzhou Port Group (GPG), was invited to attend the main forum, while Sun Bangcheng, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., attended a parallel session.
This year’s forum consisted of one main forum and nine parallel sessions. At the main forum, several economists and entrepreneurs delivered keynote speeches. The parallel sessions focused on trending topics including “Aligning Institutional Rules to Advance Market Integration in the Greater Bay Area,” “Striving for Maritime Strength: New Prospects for the Ocean Economy,” and “New Landscape of Global Trade: Opportunities and Challenges of Going Global.”
The China Economic Forum is a major economic event hosted by China Economic Weekly magazine.
